Day By Day Itinerary
Monday, September 5 Green Bay, WI
This morning we leave southern Minnesota, crossing the Mississippi River, through the state of Wisconsin. We will have a lunch stop along the way. The afternoon drive will be a scenic route to Green Bay, WI. Our home for next two evenings will be at the Holiday Inn, along the river in downtown Green Bay.
Tuesday, September 6 Green Bay, WI After breakfast at the Holiday Inn a guide will meet us at the hotel for our full day tour of Door County. The tour includes the Maritime Museum, Door Peninsula Winery, and a country walk shopping in Sister Bay. Lunch will be on your own in Founders Square. The evening will be completed in Sister Bay with an included dinner at Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant, where the goats may be grazing on the roof while we are enjoying our evening meal. After dinner we will return to the Holiday Inn for overnight.
Wednesday, September 7 Mackinac Island, MI This morning we will have a leisurely drive to the Mackinac Bridge. We will arrive in St. Ignace, Michigan for a picture stop before boarding the ferry to Mackinac Island. Our home for the evening will be at the Murray Hotel on Mackinac Island, located right in the middle of the shopping district. A horse-drawn carriage will be awaiting you for a two-hour tour of the island.
Thursday, September 8 Watersmeet, MI
Continental breakfast will be offered at the hotel in the morning and there is ample opportunity to rent a bicycle built for two and explore the island, go for a walk, sample the taffy, fudge and ice cream or finish your last minute shopping. Around noon we will depart the island by ferry, carrying us to Michigan City where we will board the motor coach. Be sure to have your cameras ready as we drive across the Mackinac Bridge and begin our afternoon while entering the Upper Peninsula of Michigan This evening you will have the opportunity to enjoy your stay at the Dancing Eagles Hotel or explore the casino for some gaming fun at the Lac Vieux Desert Resort in Watersmeet, MI.

We will then travel the beautiful countryside of Wisconsin with one last lunch stop en route; taking the opportunity for reminiscing with new friends, enjoying the music recorded by the Wendinger Band, and planning ahead for the next fun-filled tour you may experience with Wendinger Travel!
